Finally got around to visit another French province, Brittany, and its capital, Rennes. Whee! A fire in 1720 converted it to stone city, but I peeked a few timber houses here and there still. Full of delicious little cobbled alleys and jovial students. Alleys packed with bars - the streets of thirst. Open air art exhibitions in the squares, free big band concerts, graffiti, movement, creativity. So refreshing to see art in living spaces.
