The Pineapple

My first London exhibition had a concept close to my heart: pubs! 10 artists were given 10 pubs in Kentish Town, and asked to redesign their logos. I had the most feminine Victorian one allocated to me (yay!), what a treat it was to visit The Pineapple, true to my wallpaper-loving, antique-adoring self. The exhibition was organised, among others, by those 2 lovely ladies of the KenDitch Collective, London curators to keep an eye on I think. An evening of champale (champagne + ale), networking, diverse artworks, good times.

Some ceramics

Been tinkering with a new medium recently, handpainted and sandblasted ceramics. The latter my man helped me with. You can see my parents' grandchildren were the main inspiration.

Some eco-christmas cheer

This year's Christmas is about making gifts, recycled packaging, minimal impact, happy tummies. I baked a trio of cookies: lemon-zucchini, oatmeal-apricot and chocolate-espresso flavoured ones. I packaged them in second-hand tea tins, a red woven basket, a red and pink vase from Sungardens Hospice. Homemade plum vodka, salt dough men decorations, and old charcoal drawings that I rubber-stamped some simple designs on to use as wrapping paper. All that festive loveliness under the tree, with so little environmental impact :-)
